Carl’s Cards Store Review
Overview: This little Store of sports memorabilia may be one of best kept secrets in the Philadelphia Metro area. They have everything from signed NFL, NHL and MLB, NBA, jerseys to cards, pucks, sticks, balls and pictures and framed artwork of your favorite athlete, They have signed and unsigned memorabilia of athletes from all sports teams. This shop also does custom engraving and framing for almost anything you bring them. They have signings from current and former players on a near constant basis, Carl’s Cards and Collectibles is a one stop shop for anyone looking for that piece to add to their collection or gift for a loved one.
I have shopped at Carl’s now for going on 5 years and the thing that makes Carl’s stand out is they care about their customers. Carl Henderson the owner is there most days and always greats you with a smile. If you’re looking for something he does not have he will go that extra mile to find it for you. The prices are very fair and in the sports collectibles market that is a rarity. They do not gouge you on a price ever. I have seen Carl’s sell stuff for way under market value. Just because something happens with an athlete does not meant the price goes up. I have seen stores have items for sale and if something happens the price shoots up. One store online sold me a Bubba Smith helmet well that night Mr.. Smith passed away after I made my purchase. Then the next day I receive an E-mail saying the item was lost and could not be shipped which I found funny since I asked the seller for the PSA # to look up the cert the day before so if you lost it how did you have the #? Well you will find none of that nonsense at Carl’s
Carl’s also make the nicest plaques and engraving plate’s for you autographed stuff. You have an 8×10 photo let Carl make it in to a plaque he’s very helpful and creative. Why settle for a boring photo in a frame on your prized auto when Carl can make it a presentation. They also frame jerseys. The signings at Carl’s are well organized and he has allot of Philly favorites as well as some of the biggest names in Sports history one coming up of note Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe Saturday Noon-2 PM @ Jun 23, 2012. The store is a pleasure to shop in well-lit all item welled displayed and the staff knows where every item is no I think we might have it here. Overall Carl’s is like a mini Philly sports museum of not only the Philly greats but of the great in all Sports.
